Working with wood reveals the work of nature

The appeal of working with wood resonates deep within me. With every project there is discovery and awe at the natural patterns and designs that are revealed from the material.

A lifelong interest in craft and creating objects from diverse materials brought me to the field of woodworking over twenty years ago.

I study and practice a wide range of woodworking techniques, from stock selection and preparation, milling, joinery, carving and turning to marquetry, inlay, veneering and finishing.

To develop my designs, I lean on my interest in architecture and its classic forms and proportions. When this intention meets the natural patterns and textures of wood materials, a unique piece emerges that inspires reflection and meditation.
